Speed Reader

Read faster. Train your brain.

What is RSVP Speed Reading?

RSVP (Rapid Serial Visual Presentation) is a scientifically-backed reading technique that displays one word at a time in a fixed position, eliminating the need for eye movement across a page. By anchoring your gaze on a single focal point — the highlighted red letter (the Optimal Recognition Point, or ORP) — your brain can process text at dramatically higher speeds. With regular practice, speeds of 900+ WPM are achievable, compared to the average reading speed of around 250 WPM.

⚠️ Note: Math, science, and technical PDFs (equations, tables, code blocks) may not parse cleanly — best results with novel-style or text-heavy documents.

How to Use

  1. Upload a PDF or text file, or paste text directly.
  2. For PDFs: choose a chapter from the dropdown if chapters were detected.
  3. Set your speed — start slow (150 WPM) and work up.
  4. Press Play. A single word appears at a time; your eye stays fixed on the red letter.
  5. Use Save Text to keep the extracted text for future sessions.
